Meet Guzheng Expert Qing

Qing Du is a popular and professional Guzheng artist based in London with nearly 20 years of playing and teaching experience. She is also an external examiner for University of Cambridge Music Tripos Recitals.

She has been playing Guzheng across many major venues in various Chinese and international settings.

Meet Guzheng Expert Qing

Qing enjoys communicating Chinese culture and stories through her music. She has performed at World Expo in Dubai as the one and only Guzheng artist in residence. She also played in many gigs and concerts in Europe and Asia both as soloists and ensembles, such as World String Orchestra in Dubai, UAE, Chinese Cultural Heritage Celebration invited by Major of London in the UK, East Meets West Festival in France, Moon Festival Guzheng Concerto in China, to just name a few.

Always looking to push boundaries, Qing enjoys connecting guzheng with music from different cultures. And over these years she has developed her own unique take on performing Guzheng. She shapes her music flexibly and turning every performance into a process of reimagination and recreation. She believe skills and techniques are the means not the ends.
